Tina Knowles is coming for those who dissed her daughter Beyoncé after the Netflix Christmas Day halftime show. Beyoncé killed it at the Texans vs. Ravens game and got mixed reviews from some. In response to the haters, Tina shared her thoughts and pointed out the irony of people who don’t like Beyoncé but still watch her to hate on her afterwards.
The show, which took place in Beyoncé’s hometown of Houston, featured Post Malone, Shaboozey and Blue Ivy Carter. The set started with a pre-taped segment where Beyoncé, wearing a white cowboy hat, sang her Grammy-nominated “16 Carriages” while riding a white horse. The live performance then switched to Beyoncé in a white leotard and chaps singing the Americana-nominated “Ya Ya”. Blue Ivy joined her mom on stage for the first live performance of their hit “Texas Hold ‘Em” which went to #1 on country and pop charts and was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2025 Grammys.
Despite all the glitz and glamour, some people still went online to complain. One even said Beyoncé is the “most overrated performer on Earth”. Tina Knowles shared a screenshot of someone defending her daughter and said how crazy it is that people waste their Christmas day watching something they don’t even like to hate on afterwards.
Tina went on to say, “You are so obsessed with them, addicted to them, and secretly admire them, wish you could be them, that you can’t help but to watch and critique and comment and say dumb stuff that makes you look like a fool. If you didn’t really care about Beyoncé you would’ve watched something else during the halftime show.”
In her post Tina also praised her daughter’s strength, calling her a “warrior” and saying she’s shown so much strength in the face of adversity. She ended with a message of faith, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” and said she’s ready for the hate comments, including the fake bots that always come for celebrities like Beyoncé.
The halftime show was a celebration for the family and Beyoncé’s fans especially in her hometown. Beyoncé’s resilience and success inspires millions and Tina’s defense of her daughter only solidifies their unbreakable bond. While some people watched and criticized the show, the Knowles family’s message is clear: Beyoncé is an artist and a warrior and no amount of online hate can take that away.
