Nagibe Abbud: Art, Activism, and Sustainable Impact

Nagibe Abbud is an activist, rescuer, model, and singer-songwriter whose work is driven by a deep social conscience. Actively involved in defending vulnerable causes, animal rights, and the promotion of veganism, she represents a new wave of creatives who use their platforms for meaningful change.

The niece of renowned actor and comedian Omar Chaparro, Nagibe has emerged as one of the most compelling names to watch among today’s rising talents. Through discipline, sensitivity, and a strong sense of purpose, she is building a career that seamlessly blends creativity with social impact. We spoke with her about her projects, her artistic motivations, and her commitment to sustainable development in Mexico.

Art with a Social Mission

Beyond performance and creative expression, what truly fulfills Nagibe is her humanitarian work. She is the founder of BarbieXmas, a social initiative dedicated to delivering toys, food, clothing, and emotional support to children living in vulnerable conditions during holidays such as Christmas, Three Kings Day, and Children’s Day. The organization also extends its efforts to assist communities during emergency and crisis situations.

In addition, Nagibe manages an animal sanctuary where rescued animals receive care, rehabilitation, love, and a second chance at life.

What interests me most is using my voice to create awareness about social problems and leave a positive, lasting impact, she shares.

Her approach goes far beyond traditional charity. Rather than offering short-term assistance, Nagibe promotes sustainable, investment-based community development.

It’s not a gift—it’s an investment, she explains. We work with projects like green energy, agriculture, and recycling that generate economic returns. The profits are reinvested into the community, creating a circular, self-sustaining model.

This philosophy is already being implemented in Oaxaca, with expansion plans toward states such as Chiapas and Guerrero.

Community Development and Sustainable Growth

Nagibe currently leads a community development program in Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, a region that deeply inspired her.

It’s a state full of culture and hardworking people with incredible talent. The ejido members want to work, but there simply aren’t enough opportunities.

Working alongside state and federal institutions, as well as private partners such as Soft Line, her initiatives focus on bringing technology, education, and global expertise to underserved regions.

We bring resources and connections where they’re truly needed. It’s not about where you come from, but where you can truly make a difference.

Her projects span education, agriculture, infrastructure, and job creation—designed to ensure long-term impact rather than temporary relief. She also highlights the contrast between perception and reality in places like Quintana Roo:

Even though tourism is strong, there’s still inequality and a lack of opportunities outside that sector. We focus on those forgotten areas within each state.

A Vision Rooted in Purpose

For Nagibe, art and service are inseparable. I work so I can invest in what truly fills my heart, which is helping others, said the actress and singer-songwriter, originally from Chihuahua, during her visit to Playa del Carmen.

She believes that real transformation begins with a shift in mindset.

When we stop seeing social projects as charity and start viewing them as shared growth, real change happens. Sustainable development can truly transform lives.

As Nagibe Abbud continues to evolve as an artist, producer, and changemaker, her journey reflects a new generation of talent—one that measures success not only by visibility, but by impact.
