When Sarah Dickens was just a kindergartner, she was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up. Her answer came quickly and confidently: “An author.”
Years later, that same unwavering conviction would guide her through storms of life and into a place of purpose — where faith, words, and resilience converge.
From Early Dreams to Divine Destiny
Born with a storyteller’s heart, Sarah’s love for words was apparent from the very beginning. Her teachers often praised her creative expression, and by adulthood, writing had become both her calling and her refuge. But the path to authorship was not without challenges.
At a women’s conference in 2018, Sarah spoke her dream aloud — to write a book that would glorify God and inspire others. That moment marked a divine turning point. There, she met a book coach who would help her translate her lifelong dream into reality. It was a step of faith that would soon redefine her entire life.
The Writer Before the Author
Before the world knew her as the author of A Victory Song: Beneath the Veil, Sarah honed her craft across various editorial roles.
Her professional journey included writing and editing for the American Public Transportation Association, The Union Recorder, and The Colonnade, before joining Atlanta Christian Voice, LLC in 2017. As an editor, she guided writers, refined their messages, and learned how the written word can bridge hearts and perspectives.

In 2022, after five years of editorial work, Sarah took a leap of faith — leaving her position to pursue her dream full-time. That same year, her debut memoir would become the vessel through which her story touched countless lives.
A Victory Song: Beneath the Veil
Released in 2022, A Victory Song: Beneath the Veil is far more than a memoir — it is a spiritual testimony.
In the book, Sarah chronicles her journey of living with bipolar disorder while navigating the highs and lows of faith, identity, and healing. The result is a deeply vulnerable yet empowering account that redefines strength through surrender.
Her words are not just sentences on a page — they’re testimonies of healing, faith, and unyielding purpose.
The memoir quickly earned recognition on Amazon under “Religious Biographies for Young Adults,” praised for its authenticity and raw emotional depth.
What makes Sarah’s story stand out is her refusal to let mental health struggles define her limits. Instead, she views her diagnosis as a divine opportunity to glorify God. Her journey becomes proof that brokenness can be transformed into beauty when placed in the hands of faith.
Faith as Foundation
At the heart of everything Sarah Dickens does is an unshakable devotion to Jesus Christ. She often says she writes so that others can experience “the same peace and hope I found in Jesus.”
For Sarah, success is not measured in book sales or social-media following, but in obedience — in being faithful to the calling God has placed on her life.

Her mother’s words, spoken when Sarah was just eight years old — “Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior while there is still time” — became the cornerstone of her purpose. It’s a message she now echoes through her writing, speaking, and daily walk.
Looking Ahead: New Works on the Horizon
Sarah’s literary journey is only beginning. Building upon the success of her memoir, she released her second book, A Victory Song: Thoughts of Peace, in August 2025. Two additional works are already in development — A Victory Song: Thoughts of Power and an illustrated children’s book titled She Walks With Jesus.
Each project is grounded in prayer and divine timing. Every title, idea, and storyline is first laid before God. “I don’t just write stories,” she says, “I wait for His timing to unfold them.”
Inspiring Through Authenticity
Sarah’s openness about her struggles with bipolar disorder and her steadfast faith has resonated deeply with readers.
Her story is an inspiring testimony of resilience, faith, and unwavering devotion to the Lord.

In an age where authenticity is often masked by perfection, Sarah’s vulnerability shines as her greatest strength. She encourages others to surrender their lives and stories to Christ, saying, “Let Jesus be the author of your life. When you surrender your story to Him, He’ll write something far more powerful than you ever could.”
A Life Beyond the Pages
Outside of writing, Sarah finds peace in the simple joys of life — collecting coffee mugs, taking nature walks, reading Scripture, journaling, and listening to Christian music. Each habit reflects her desire to stay grounded, grateful, and connected to her Creator.
Her everyday life mirrors the message she shares with her readers: that faith and creativity can coexist beautifully, even amid struggle.
The Anthem of Hope
Through her words, Sarah Dickens has become a voice for those walking through their own storms. Her writing reminds readers that faith doesn’t remove hardship — it redeems it.
She stands as living proof that adversity can become an anthem — one of victory, healing, and unwavering hope.
With every page she writes, Sarah invites us all to believe that our most painful chapters may yet become the ones that sing the loudest of God’s grace.
